Citation A reference shown alongside a generated answer indicating where material came from. Citations are evidence of use, not proof of accuracy. Consistency Stating the same fact in the same words wherever it appears. In answer optimisation, consistency compounds and paraphrase dilutes. Contradiction Two statements in the same corpus that cannot both be true. A contradiction is the cheapest reason a system has for declining to repeat a claim. Corroboration Support for a claim from a source other than the one making it. Two documents by the same publisher do not corroborate one another. Crawler An automated client that fetches pages so they can be indexed or used as training or retrieval material. Also called a bot or spider.
